  • And I thought I was obsessed....

This guy has a pretty cool idea, but man, get real! This dude must have some cash huh? Maybe real CRT's are on the way, oh and dont forget the Plazma monitors.....

What a waste though! All that just to play flight sim on a tiny moniter. Maybe if the screen was the ientire windsheild it would be cool. But you gotta give the guy respect for putting all that together.

Agreed, also what happens when you get bored flying the 737? It seems that unless your willing to throw away thousands of dollars of equipment your kinda stuck.

Why not spend all that cash learning to fly the real thing.

Wow. For what they probably spent, I'd rather spend my money on a car or a house. Did you see he actually used the word "Simfest?" Geeks.

I'd use that cash on my dream camera kit...Greg told me he calculated it to be somewhere around 25 grand

Now you're talking! I could spend that kinda money on camera gear (especially lenses), including a computer with a big-ass monitor for processing photos.

I saw a much better one on the tech channel. It was a NG 737 full cockpit with FS2004 on a BIGSCREEN taking up the whole windscreen, the guy who made it keeps it in his hanger at a GA airport. I'm looking for a story on it. He spent a lot less then this guy though hahah

I'm really interested in knowing how much such a project cost. Its amazing how far some people will go just to fly one computer game.
