  • Something wierd =\

    i recently downloaded a boeing 757 set but when i tried to fly them instead of the engines making a jet sound they made a prop sound like im flying some kind of piper....
    anybody know what the problem is?

    For some reason the person who created this aircraft either set up the sound as the FS default prop noise, or they set it up to a sound file that is not on your computer so MSFS automatically sets it up as a prop..... you said it was a 757.... Is it a POSKY repaint that you downloaded from a site other than AVSIM (POSKYs download provider)?

      Open your aircaft folder and delete the sound file from the 757 and replace it with the default 777 for now.

        ^what he said.
        go to the aircrafts folder, then go to the sound folder, and delete the sound.cfg file, and replace it with the sound.cfg from the Default 777

        try searching AVSIM for 757 soundset, or 757 sounds, and you'll probably find some pretty good 3rd party sounds for it.

            The default B777 uses the default B737 sound config. In the 757 SOUND folder double click on the sound.cfg (it will open in notepad) and edit it to read:

            [fltsim]
            alias=B737_400\sound

                Best thing to do is go to avsim.com and do a search in the FS2004 Sounds section for 737. Then download the largest file. Install that and you won't be dissapointed.
