Virtual WestJet is proud to announce its first Real-Time Event (RTE, “Route”); the Virtual WestJet Lunch Crunch. On Sunday, April 16, Virtual WestJet will simulate WestJet Airlines operations at the Calgary International Airport on the VATSIM network. Ten flights will depart on a scheduled basis from 11:15am until 1:00pm while eight of these flights, prior to their departure, will arrive and turn in Calgary between 11:15am and 12:45pm.
This is the first step for Virtual WestJet to create realistic, online flights for its member pilots on a bi-weekly basis. We also have an over allotment option, if we choose to exercise, allowing as many as 18 pilots to interactively simulate realistic operations at WestJet’s hub at the Calgary Airport.

From 1630-1930Z CYYC (Calgary International) will be fully staffed with Apron, Ground, Tower, APP/DEP and CTR. All airlines are welcomed to this event.. As a friendly reminder please start on the apron and have your charts ready.
