I wanted to "fly" the special Qantas flight Frankfurt - Rotterdam - Stuttgart.
This fight took place on the fifth of June and was a special flight for three reasons; 747's only land at Rotterdam if Schiphol is closed or if it's an emergency (a scheduled 747 is extremely rare), Qantas never visited rotterdam before and the flight was to take the Australian football team to their first world cup game in Germany.

Clearance recieved, were of on the first leg of our flight; Frankfurt - Rotterdam

One of my rare attempts at editting.

Since it is a very short hop between Frankfurt and Rotterdam for a 747, we were cruising at FL240 for only 10 minutes.

Intercepting the glideslope for runway 24

Touch down, a little moment in history

A Qantas 747 at RTM, never thought it would happen

Just recieved the take-off clearence, time to revv those engines to maximum and continue the flight to Stuttgart.

I bearly made it, rotating just before the runway ends

Thanks to the VFR netherlands add-on my house is visible in FS (red dot)

Cruising at FL250, it's just a short hop from Rotterdam to Stuttgart so after just a few minutes I was instructed to descend again.

    Turnng to intercept the glideslope.

A nice view from the cockpit

    Almost there...

    ...smooth touchdown

End of the flight, the "Socceroos" have arrived at the location for their first world cup match.

I hope you enjoyed the screens
