  • Screenshot megapost: Flying in Italy (56k killer)

    Heyy all.

Yeap. I'm back to italy in FS And of course to Sicily. So I decided to take my planes for a small tour around the city of palermo and area. I did three flights in total.

    1. I took my Cessna U206G Stationair with floats. I took off from Palermo airport at 4:30 in the morning (still night ) and headed to Elba. When I was half way done, I landed on the water and decided to wait for the amazing sunrise over the waters of Medditterreanean Sea. Then I took off from the ea and flew back to Palermo.
    2. I took my Beech Bonanza and took off from palermo airport. Then I headed west and flew over the sea. Then I heade to the city of palermo and did few circles over it. And i ended up landing in Palermo airport.
    3. I took my Cessna Stationair (with wheels ) and headed to the City of palermo to take some night shots. And then Icame back to palermo airport.

    Enjoy.

PS. I WILL UPLOAD SHOTS SEPARATELY. ONE SET IN ONE POST, SO PLEASE WAIT UNTILL I UPLOAD ALL FOUR SETS (4 POSTS) SO YOU WON'T RUIN THE PATTERN. THANK YOU.

    Flight #1

    Aircraft: Cessna Stationair (w. floats)
    Airline: Private
    Registration: N3660L

    "Sunrise over the Sea"

Seconds after take off from Palermo Punta Raisi (LICJ) airport.

Turning left over the sea, with a nice moon liht reflection.

We landed on the sea after about half an hour of flying. We will now stop here and wait for the sun to rise.

That's a pic that I took while waiting. yeah I was boored.....

We now say goodbye to the moon, and wait another half an hour for the sun to show up...

Something's going on. The pinky light above the horizon indicates that we will be witnessing the sunrise soon. LOL smart eh?

    And here it is.

Unfortunately I di not get to see the "green sun" - effect that light causes just a few seconds before the sunrise....

    Taken from my seat.

I saw what i wanted to see, now it's time to fly back to LICJ, rest for few hours and get ready for the 2nd flight.

    Speeding up on the water

Took off. I just checked the weather and looks like I'll get some tailwind

Cruising at the altitude of 3000feet. Yeas I did fly with my windows open

You can see the Italian coast in the background.

    Lovely reflection

I then got directions to land on runway 7. I decided to perform visual approach - the crosswind was as light as 2-5 knots

On final approach with Sicily in the background.

    Taken from ATC Tower

    Flaring over the runway.

    PART 2 & 3 COMING. STAY TUNED!!! DON'T REPLY YET !!!

Nice pics and nice settings. The sequences involving the Cessnas could make for nice parts in some Spy and spook movies, introducing the main characters being flown hush-hush to location.

Apparently neither of you can spell the word jealous.
And you make fun of Kentuckians.

                        Sweet shots PK!

Out of sight on the PAPI though.
