  • LHR/EGLL - NCL/EGNT with a Boeing 737-800W

    Hi all,

Another one of my humourous Flight Sim adventures - possibly my last of 2004 as I hope to soon have a copy of X!

Anyway, down to business. Before we start I'd just like to say that at the end Flight Simulator switched itself off in classic Airport inc style! So there are no pictures of me taxiing to the gate or parked up. Sorry.

Aircraft: Boeing 737-800 (with winglets and no eyebrows)
    Airline: Boeing Co
    Registration: N738BC
    Flight Number: 01T
    Departure Airport: London Heathrow LHR/EGLL
    Arrival Airport: Newcastle NCL/EGNT
    Cruise Altitude: 27,000ft
Cruise Speed: As fast as the damn thing could go!

Ok, here we go, sat at the gate prior to pushback:

Finished pushing back prior to taxi:

Two close-up shots prior to taxi:

View of the gate from the cockpit:

    Taxiing to the active runway:

    A close-up shot during taxiing:

Got a little too close to this World Travel Airlines Boeing 737-400:

    Lining up on the runway:

    Rotate!

A rather odd, but good shot just after rotating:

    A close-up just after rotation:

    Two shots just after rotation:

    A very nice close up:

Three shots of banking left just after departure:

At 10,000ft climbing to FL200; the second shot is another close-up:

Three shots taken at cruising altitude FL270:

    A nice wing view:

At 10,000ft again but this time descending (very urgently) to 2,600ft:

Descending in a more appropriate manner:

Short finals to runway 07 at Newcastle:

An Orbit Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD83 waiting for me to put-down:

Ok, here is where it gets ugly; after a perfectly normal touch down, the reverse thrust fails to commence despite me nearly destroying my keyboard in a bid to get it going, it did eventually kick in, but sadly it wasn't until about 200m PAST the end of the damned runway resulting in one severe overrun!

As I said early, Flight Sim crashed and switched itself off so I didn't quite get chance to take screenshots of taxiing to the gates and parking. Hope you enjoyed though, I sure did!!!

    Regards.

HAAHAHAH. BTW I think your wing has a pretty big hole in it, you can see the landing gear.

At first, I expected this to be like your Spanair A321 thread, but it looked normal enough...until the landing. Have you ever considered trying aerobatics in FS9? I'd love to see that.
