  • Getting better FPS?

    Hi guys,

    Well i've been looking at processor/RAM today after re-installing FS9. If I wanted to get better FPS would you recommend RAM or another processor? I plan on getting both but if I get the Processor then i'll have to get the RAM in a few weeks...

    3.0 processor or 1GB RAM?

    Cheers,
    Sam.

    Both play a big role I think. So if you have the money, probably both.

              Infact i've been looking at new PC's (Dell - possibly not the greatest PC's!). I was quoted;

              AMD® Athlon™ 64 X2 Processor 5000+
              2GB Dual Channel DDR2 533MHz [2x1GB] Memory
              320GB (2x160GB) 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive - Dual HDD Config
              256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro graphics card

              and the usual crap like 19" monitor etc... Came to £872.

              But I can get a extra 1GB of RAM, 3.0 Inter duo core processor and a Geforce 7600 256MB GFX card all for around £250-£300, it just depends weather my PC can take it or not

                  If your getting a Dell, use the 'Dell Outlet'. There just computers that have been made, then people have cancelled there order. They arnt used at all thats where i got mine from You can find some real good deals there.

                    I'd avoid the X1300 video card, it's not so hot. Though the X1300w/256MB RAM is better than the X1600 w/512MB, go figure
