I can only imagine how endlessly breathtaking it would be to watch heavy aircraft do the same thing in the middle of a populated downtown full of skyscrapers, lower, faster, in worse weather, and all day and night long. Now that must have been a sight.

I remember flying in to Kai Tak once. Quite bowel loosening to be in a 30 degree bank on finals, look out the window and see Mrs Wong hanging out her washing on the same level as you !!

Maybe the pilot just likes his buckets so much he couldn't wait to deploy them when land at old airport Kai Tak or there was bug on carpet and it stung the pilots toe.

I think your A340 lost 2 engines.

They were probably shaken off by the ungodly vibrations, caused by having the reversers deployed in flight!

Yeah, total pain in the ass. Which is why I rarely do more than 3 or 4 airlines a day. The monotony drives you crazy even if you know what you're doing.
