    Hey guys,

This time i thought i'd make a new thread. So basically i got some guy to give me some quotes on computers that he could build for me, but i dont know anything about computers but how to use them, so i was wondering if these are any good? (All prices are in Australian dollars)

Im pretty sure the Complete budget system is the best (most expensive) but are they all good for FS9 or FSX requirements?

    Thanks a lot.

Honestly, none of those are that good. If you need to say below $1000 the "mid range" is actually the better of the 3. The "Complete Budget System" is only more expensive because you're getting a monitor, mouse/keyboard, and speakers, none of which will contribute to performance. It's skimping on there RAM, you should have at least 2 gigs. Also, all of them have weaker power supplies. I would get at least a 500W or better power supply. I'd keep looking, and see you can get a bigger budget if you don't want to be disappointed.

Thanks mate, But you said it should have at least 2 gigs of RAM, it has 2x 2048mb DDR2 Ram 800. I'm not sure, but doesn't that mean it has 4gb of RAM?

But other than the power increase, is it pretty good? I was going to go for the Mid Range as well.

      Thanks for the help.

Yeah, i think you are right. I didn't see the 2x. I guess that means that all of them have at least 2gb. But you should still get a more powerful powersupply, and a higher speed processor if they are available. If you want to use it for gaming, might as well have it ready for the future.

Its been a while, but im still thinking about the Mid Range PC. Would that computer be able to handle FSX on high to Ultra High graphic settings? I want to be able to have 100% traffic with a lot of addons, and the ground scenery and aircraft textures to be very high.

I have the Q6600 and it shifts!!!!

A 380w PSU sounds a little short of the mark for a system of that spec though?

You could try eBay - Theres plenty of people who make systems just to sell on there, and some are very good and pretty cheap compared to what the shops sell them for.

For example... you could get a QUAD CORE 9.6Ghz Q6600 6GB RAM/500GB & 9600GT 1GB for $1,155AUD, although you don't get a screen it does show what you can get for you're money.

What do you mean by "It Shifts"?
