FSX Loads Splash Screen Then Dies???

Anyone know of a fix to this issue. It has been working fine, but this morning when i click on the icon i get the splash screen for 10s then it just dies and the app does not load. The PC remains on and fine.

I read a few forums and they mention log files have to be deleted, but there are a few renditions of the same fix.

Can anyone help?

I have had this happen, and unfortunately the best way is to uninstall and reinstall, it should keep your saved files (aircraft etc) as long as you select keep my saved files when uninstalling it.

Thanks Chris. I actually sorted it by removing an addon, FSINN of all things. Since then I have been finding that it needs a monster machine to run it.
