  • Engine shutdown and startup in FS

    Hello

I've been flying FS for some time now. It's great fun. I am just wondering how do you turn engines on and off?? And is it possible to shut down only one engine in an aircraft with more than one engine.

Sorry if it's a stupid question.

    Hope someone can answer

    Happy flying

I think you press 'CTRL + SHIFT + F1' to shut down the engine, and start the engine, you press 'CTRL + E'. I don't know the exact key controls for shutting a single engine down on a twin engine plane, I'd have to look it up

if u wana shut down a particular engine u press E and then the engine #. So if ur flying a 747 and u wana shut down Engine #3 then u press:

      E 3 Crtl + Shift + F1

      Hope this helps!

        Hi again

        Thanks for replies

The key for engine shutdown is working (Crtl + Shift + F1)
But I cant get the engines to startup again once I have turned them off
Has anyone got an idea what to do ??

To start the engines back up again, you have to press 'CTRL + E' at the same time. You have to hold both buttons down for a couple of seconds before letting go.
