Now, during I write these words, I operate an Intel i5. Not type 8400, but good enough so that Randazzo's LH-B744 fsx simulator is liquid on the screen, in all situations that a flight might take, through the clouds, over land as well as over the Oceans.
I know that for this i5, I gathered one or two $ over a period of let's say... 10 months, only for this i5 cpu. And I know, that for the price of this i5, you could also have bought one night in a good four star hotel in Manhattan, New York City. That's only the cpu.
The video card is the same.
The mainboard is 0,5 of one night in a good four star hotel in Manhatten, New York City.

On top of that 16 gigs of RAM which you stick into your asus mainboard, plus 2 fast sata hdd of the same size (e.g. 2 x 750 GB good and fast sata hdd with raid modus..) , or, what your chart suggests, at least 1 ssd?

Plus the appropriate power supply, and such a little thing is, if you buy it with at least 650W and with warranty, worth another mainboard...

Without computer case, without all displays, without a second video card of that type for Crossfire and up to four displays, without an illuminated keyboard for night flights, without input devices like mouse, wihtout throttle quadrant, and without yoke..

I'd strongly assume that a real world return flight from Germany across the pond in my avatar is cheaper (Economy, of course).

You need the C on your ticket, for Business Class? Then you have to pay. Easily four to five Economy seats, for 1 Business seat. The same goes for the Business computer solution which you aim at, and the nightblue text always goes extra.

Only a rough guess. But I know a little bit of the prices before you get on board a Lufthansa 747.. Let's assume that an i5 8400 is approx 220 US-$ , only the economy class cpu. Then you take 5 economy class cpu, and you have 1 business class cpu, then we are at 1100 only for the cpu.

I mean, I already operate an i5. So I definitely knew, where I'd stick 1100 $ into, namely into my real world avatar!

PS: You asked me (and not somebody who sells computer parts as a profession), and one thing which I'd recommend as an i5 operator, you better don't overclock him. I know, you switch it on for the first time, and even after 3 hours, it does not really get hot. Can be imagination, but I assume that an i5 says thank you every day, when you don't overclock him.

And I don't know if I mentioned that since I am here on board this very brilliant aviation platform, I always use a combination of Intel and AMD. So, if you really ask me (and not somebody who sells computer parts as a profession), I'd take the two columns in the middle, the

Intel i5, yes, type 8400
perfectly goes together with an
AMD Radeon RX 590.

And if we go into further detail of your little chart, we can see that 8 GB of RAM on the motherboard only serve as a minimum, 16 GB are recommended, of course. If you ask me, to safely cross Piz Segnas, a Ju-52 is the minimum, but only under ISA conditions (+15°C or colder, without inversion).
Better in my eyes is the BE-350 King Air, she simply goes higher, faster, and what if above the clouds at 11,000 is traffic. Even then the BE-350 is strong enough to climb higher, with pressurization. The BE-350 would be the 16 GB.

And the ideal solution to cross hochalpine Gipfel above 13,000? They call it 32 GB RAM on the mainboard. The respective a/c type? Don't ask me. Simply look at my avatar.

An i5 with 16 gigs of RAM and .. 150 GB of space on your hdd, only for the simulator. Well, such a hdd should not be a problem. Although I'd prefer a solution with 2 or 3 hdd of the same size, so that you always have at least 1 mirror.. But that really might be too much detail for a public talk ..

Now it gets serious, how many $$ are needed. The Atlantic Ocean is between us. I assume that, if you step into my avatar to cross the pond, or if I stepped into my avatar to cross the pond, the amount of $$ for such a system would definitely not be the same..

Related to Episode 7, which looks very nice, I wonder about other on-line interaction features as live ATC (i.e. not AI ATC) and shared cockpit (multiple persons operating the same plane at once, like pilot and copilot)

Another question... as you can see in the episode, the tool will not only show the on-line players, nut also the real flights that are taking place at the moment in the area. I wonder how is a simmer playing multiplayer going to do to land in very crowded airports like Heathrow, or how in-sim ATC (wither live or AI) is going to look like in such places.

Unbiased user reviews.. What are you waiting for? You don't wait until I have tried msfs 2020 first, or what.

But you know that I am a fan of Mr Randazzo and his products. He also has a definite opinion about msfs 2020, which I have read a few months ago, but in this very moment I am not quite able to write it down. But I am able to retrieve that, if you are a little bit patient.

Don't wait too long, mate, if you like to afford an i7-7700K , for 409,- Euro (found brandnew, on March 3rd 2020) . I am curious about what a rocket cpu for 400,- is good for.

It seems as if my first try to find you a computer for msfs 2020 for 500,- was a little bit naive. But I am flexible, let's rather say 1500,- or 2000,- only for the computer case with ingredients.
Plus a number of new rather huge displays, for a few $ extra.

Finally, I think you will not have FS2020 in 2020 and that that is irrespective of your decision. We are in March and I am not sure if Alpha version is already undergoing user testing, but pre-Apha has a lot of bugs and issues, and then we will need Beta, and only then there will be a release. The timeline is getting tight for a release in 2020. I guess that Microsoft and Asobo knew this risk and that's why they are calling the new version just Microsoft Flight Simulator (without 2020).

Well. I somehow feel a little bit ashamed. Gabe. But this seems to be what you haven't mentioned since your post #16 here in this topic..

Msfs 2020 system requirements, not yet officially published by Microsoft, but that seems to be an early rough guess.

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 7 1700 or better.
RAM: 12 GB.
OS: Windows 10 64-bit.
VIDEO CARD: Radeon RX 470 or GeForce GTX 1070 or better,

Wow. That would mean, that I am not able to run msfs 2020, not at all. I don't own 12 gigs of RAM. At the beginning of this new year 2020 I also talked to someone whom I shared that fear with.

That shiny brilliant new thang msfs 2020 will overload each and every home computer which that person and me know.

But somebody here in this forum said that he will try to buy a new home computer as soon as quite precise system requirements for msfs 2020 are published.

PS: For me, there are another two important questions. I know people who still absolutely don't like to work without Win7 Pro 64b, in combination with msfs X , ade X , fsgrw X , et cetera et cetera.
1. Will Msfs 2020 work together with Win7 Pro 64b?

If not, I do not have to mention my question # 2. Or only as a theoretical idea.

2. Will Msfs X still work together with Win10 Pro 64b?

If the answers are No and No, my decision will be against Msfs 2020, at least in the year 2020.

You have found a way to achieve more than 7000 forum entries on your forum posts counter, didn't you. A few days ago, I 'telephoned' with another jetphotos senior about men who thought that more than 7000 forum entries will make 'em king of the world. And I still know what I said when that other jetphotos senior was on the other end of the line. Experience counts, and I have found out that he and me together we have 15+11... so, 26 years of experience in aviation forums. The 11 is me. For you that would mean 15+12 . So, if we knew nothing about us, I had said, wow, how could I have missed one of his more than 7000 forum entries.
