Yeah That is wierd. That's maybe because we're not used to it and they are. I bet if we both were down there. We're be rock steady and just looking towards to skies. lol.
Well they saw that all day everyday, so they were used to it. Of course to us, it seems amazing.
I know, I moved to NC and my house is right under the the approch for 23R at RDU, they go over it at about 150-200ft. every time a plane used to fly by everyone would look out. But now everyone is so used to it that it's like the planes aren't even there. The only one who looks now is me.
Back in the 90's where the runway 12-30 here in CPH were being used not only when crosswinds were at the first two primary runways, they almost used it everyday. I think it was back ni the mid 90's. I used to live just under the approach. Seeing Thai 744's and JAL 744's (when they still operated CPH). It was just unforgettable memories. those were the times...... Now we have these regulations here that the planes may not be flown over populaed areas over kastrup. I miss the good times.
