I don't know any for entire UK but the following link covers greater London. Actually it's centred on LHR and covers approximately 30 to 35 NM radius. There used to be a three minute delay built in (apparently for security!), but now it is definitely real time. I have verified this by looking at aircraft passing above my house. Both low and high levels.

It's not free but you could try PlanePlotter. You get a 30 day (I think it's 30) trial and then after that you have to pay €25 for a key. It's abit complicated to set-up but you can join there Yahoo groups and they'll help you out.
Apart from that, I don't think theres any others - You could buy an SBS or AirNav Radarbox but they'll set you back quite abit considering your looking for a free programme!
