  • Any one BUILD their own model planes?

Do any of you actually take your time to build plastic model kits such as Heller, Revel, Italeri? If so, which do you like best? I personally like Italeri. I personally have:

C-130 from the Canadian Airforce (ITALERI Scale 1:72),
    Lufthansa A321 (REVEL 1:144)
    Thomas Cook A320 (REVEL 1:144)
    Swiss A320 (REVEL 1:144)
    Do.228 (REVEL 1:144)
Spain Air Force F-27 (Italeri 1:72)
    Lufthansa Junkers-52

Those are the best i can remember. I wanted to know if any of you do the same, or know good places to buy plastic model kits online . Well, i will put some pics of som of them later.

Although I have only built Italeri helicopters, I think they make damn good models. I am moving on to civil airliners now though.

      I currently have (Italeri):
      EH-101 Merlin,
      SH-60 Seahawk,
      Bell 47 'Sioux'
      MIL Mi-24 Hind-D
      Bell 204B
      Bell UH-1N
      AH-64 Apache
      Bell AH-1 SuperCobra
      I also have:
      Westland Lynx (Airifx)
      AH-1 Scout (Airfix)
      Hughes 500D (Hasegawa)
      AS 365 Dauphin (Revell)
      Thomas Cook A320 (Revell)

And I am currently building these models:
      SN Brussels A330-300 (Revell)
      Singapore Airlines 777-200 (Minicraft)
      Kawasaki BK-117 (Revell)

So I guess I do build quite a few. A couple of good online shops are:
      Squadron (Military)
      eHobbies (Civil)

As I do every year, I pay a visit to the Paris Show.
I used to build models, the brand I most used was AirFix,
also had some Revells, Italieris (the 1/72 DC.3) Heller and FROG/Matchbox which had nice militaries. Should I get TIME and PATIENCE again to build some, think to pick Hasgawa and other japenese brands for the Western airliners and Trumpeter, for the soviet-built ones.
On the last call to the 2004 edition, got the opportunity to see at close quarters models from the chinese brand. Was pretty impressed by the quality of reproducing. Sooner or later, the japanese competitors may get into hot waters.
