  • SQ Star Alliance 773 (DW 1/400)

This 773 was released on Dec.11 in Japan. The 744 in Star Alliance was also released in conjunction with it. Overall, its a satisfactory model notwithstanding the -ve points and long wait.

    Pros:
    - "No Step" decals printed on wings
    - Frontal lobe (above flightdeck) is visible
    - panel engravings appear on pylons

    Cons:
    - fin look too small
    - pitots and static ports do not align exactly on both sides
    - nose-tip looks too sharp (more like A340 nose rather than a 777 nose)

Eagerly awaiting 1/200 scale of SQ's 773ER and 744 in Star Alliance livery, hopefully Hogan has some plan for this by the end of the year. Thanks for viewing!

I need some more models like that..but i can't find any sites that have a large selection and are a resonable price.

As for the 777, it looks fine, fin is right size, and the nose is correct.

An update on the 773ER nose.

The 777 shares the same Section 41 as the 767. This section starts from nose until just behind the flightdeck windows. And therefore, the nosetip should be exactly as 767 nose; and its sharpness should not be as pronounced as the A340.
