  • Model Airport Question

Hello everyone, just a quick question about model airports. Anyways, I was thinking about making a model airport with 1:400 sace aircraft from Geminijets. Now, by looking through their website, I didn't find many accessiories for making an airport. Anyone else know where I can find some 1:400 model airport accessories? Do you think the Herpawings model airport accessories would still be good with 1:400 aircraft? Thanks!

As soon as I find a place to put a 1:400 scale airport, I'll make one. I've always used Herpa airport acessories with my gemini jets, and they work just fine. I have the airport matts, and the acessories look good on those as well. Gemini Jets will be releasing terminal buildings for the matts in the near future I think.

Herpawings has brought out quite a few dedicated equipments for 1:400, though mainly vehicles and stuff. But the variety is slowly growing. Though I'm personally not too fond of any of those materials, no matter if 1:400 or 1:500, it's just way overpriced plastic.

The Herpa 1.500 jetways look good with the 1/400 but the buildings are noticeably small, though I do use the hanger which works well for most aircraft. Gemini is supposed to come out with an airport, but they said that over a year ago now... so who knows.

It'll come out eventually. Sometimes these things take time. I remember when Dragon Wings announced they would soon be releasing a NW MD80. There were plenty of pics on it online the but the thing didn't hit the shelves for years!

Dragon unlike Gemini is well known for that with all of their model kits, I worked at a hobby shop before and they said they would release it XXX month and then we would call and ask to order it and say, well we don't know when we will get it. Gemini announces their releases and they come out for the most part ontime, but unlike Dragon, Gemini didn't give a date for those airport objects.

Yes, at least they didn't post a date risking false commitment. I am sure when all is ready its planned arrival will be announced.

Yeah, simply amazing! As soon as I have somewhere to set up my airport mats, I'll buy it.
