  • Guiseppe Scalise International Airport (Diorama 1:500 scale)

This goes as one of the best dioramas I have ever seen.

The Diorama was set up for display at MXP for about 4 months.

Although the photos of the airport speaks so many words, but since I dont know italian,
so if any of you can't translate some of what has been written about Guiseppe in the article, please share your knowledge.

Here's a preview of one of the photos.

If you want to see more of his diorama.

Herpa Wings 1:500, I recognise a few jets from my collection. Definitely an awesome diorama, I just wish I had the time, patience and most importantly cash to afford such a diorama. All those prefabricated terminal buildings, cars, trees etc by Herpa are expensive as fvck.

Also, from the article, if I read things right, he has around 700 models bought at an average of €20 . Not sure if that is just plane models or including extras, but we're talking €14.000 here just for a diorama .

          It's a go-around, there's a TG 346 turning into the "threshold" / active runway.

            Impressive!

I like the way they tried to imitate the cracks in the pavement:
