  • The "Black Bunny"

    Hey all,

Hope everyone is doing well! I took a little break after the B732, but I'm back at it now with a build I've wanted to do for a long, long time....

Here's the "Stewardesses" who worked on the aircraft I'm building... wanna guess which one it is?

    Here's my progress...

    Filling the windows...

    Wings and horizontal stablizers on...

Gloss black applied. I will now put the pilots in and apply the windshield. I'm making the windscreen clear, and I cut out openings for the brow glass, which will be covered with a tiny square of transparent decal material. I will then trim the frame in black and apply the first coat of glosscoat, then it will be ready for the decals (which haven't arrived yet)

    Cruising in the sun....

    Take care,

    Frank

Nice I have a 1/400 scale of the actual Playboy DC-9 that Hefner once had. I saw a special on it, it was certainly ugly inside and they painted the wings black at one point which couldn't have helped with performance.

Only on JP.net could you be talking about the Playboy airplane and have someone respond with a concern about aircraft performance...

A unique Nine making up for an interesting choice. Should be great when completed.

                        The decals FINALLY came!

                        Hi all,

The "Playboy" decal sheet FINALLY arrived in today's mail, so you know what I'm going to be doing this afternoon!!
Now I've got out there and DE-dust it.

Once this one's done, I have about three ot four hours work to finish a 1/144 Revell B738 in Continental livery, then I can get started on the 144 Airfix B722 and Revell B744 that's at the top of my stack! The B722 will probably be an '86 version of Delta Airlines, down & dirty with spoilers deployed, and a CLEAR left side fuselage so you can see inside. The B744 will be in Lufthansa livery, also cut to be in a down & dirty configuration.

But, lets get the "Black Bunny" done first!

                        Take care,
                        Frank
