Can someone id the type the nose in the photo is from please. My initial thought was B25 but it looks all wrong. If it helps it was found laying by a hanger at North Weald, it could be to do with Aces High.

It's cn 10689. Originally with the USAF as 51-2700 it then went to the Belgian Air Force as CP-9. The Spanish were meant to take it but never did so it remained with the BAF until sold to the civilian market as G-BLSW. It's final registration was N2700 before being broken up. She was officially a C-119G Packet.

Hmmmm, just a thought, but could it have had anything to do with the filming of " Air America " ?
Remember the scenes immediately before the end of the film where the stars are escaping Cambodia and / or the scene where the Turbo Porter runs into the broken fuselage, taking its wings off in the process ?If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !
