Ideally the cut off would be 5,700kg (12,500lbs) which is a recognised figure in aviation.
We apply a standard very close to this.
The reason King Airs are not included is that many models are above 5,700kg, such as the 350.
The T303 is <5,700kg so definitely counts as a small prop.
The exception is large warbirds, such as the P-51 and Spitfire. The expectation of members and crew alike when the categories were defined was that these should not be 'Small Prop'.
