Should be small prop, so yes.

Well the original Z-526 was originally designed by Zlin Aircraft in 1959 so you could say she is vintage but I don't thik we have them as such in the dbase?
Small prop is def needed imo.

                Rgds,

                      Rgds,
OK, so what you say is that the ones in the db (I count 212 photos) are probably newly build?

                      • She was produced until the mid 80's I believe. I wouldn't classify them as vintage.
Vintage is more for pre-50's I think.

Maybe AJ can shed some more light at this

                            Rgds,
The British register shows Zlin 526's from as early as 1958 manufacture to 1996. Don't be fooled by the c/n number either. A c/n in the 1,000's shows as a 1962 manufacture while the 1958 is c/n 195.

Maybe this is one of those that we should accept with and without vintage ticked ?
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

                            • Well we could do that but I personally don't consider them as vintage. Pre-50's is my standard for that

                              • Small prop category confusing

I'm still having difficulties understanding when or when not to use the 'small prop' category.

After having read all contents in this thread, I have learned that all Cessna 400's are designated as 'small prop', how about Cessna T303's?

And why is a BN Islander 'small prop', and a Beech King Air not?

I fail to see the logic in that. Wouldn't it be more practical to designate all single engined aircraft as small prop and leave all twin engined aircraft out of this category?

And why are props categorized in this way and jetengined a/c not?

                                Just curious to know
