The category definition is "Depict an aircraft in night/dusk/dawn lighting". The light on the aircraft is what defines the category. Essentially if a white aeroplane appears orange/yellow etc. then it is in 'dusk/dawn' lighting! Otherwise you may get a 'Color' rejection!
Thanks, but I'm still not positive. I know what you mean about that yellowy light in the morning/evening. That usually happens, that I've noticed anyway, when the sun is still above the horizon. Once it sets, everything turns to shadow and that 'glow' is not really present. Sometimes even though things are in shadow, you can still tell it's evening by the orangy clouds. But what if it's just faded blue skies? You can't really tell.
So, anyway - I've submitted a photo, several actually, that was taken after the sun was below the horizon and there is not real hint of 'Evening'. I checked the 'Night' box. Here's a sample:
Should I uncheck the 'Night' Box on shots like these? And if so, what should I do about the comments to the Screeners that I made explaining why I did check the 'Night' box? I know...I'm confusleling meself too!
Thanks AJ. I deselected the 'Night' box on that one and another. I guess I'll just have the let the comments to the screeners go? They can figure it out? May I ask about one more?
Thanks for your time AJ - I guess the screeners will have the final say. I had to adjust my camera to get the most brightness out of the evening - you can tell the lights are on in the parking garage. Anyway, thanks again for your time!
