    Hi guys,
Below is the link to the JAL photos with unidentified ball-shaped object at red arrows(equalized images). These photos weren't shot inside, so reflections can be ruled out. Dust spots? No because the spot didn't stay at the same place during the continuous shots(to be exact there was a DSC_0288.JPG deleted from camera right after shooting). Big balloons? No as it seems to move left between DSC_0289.JPG and DSC_0290.JPG, that move was made in 1/6 second as d7200 had a 6 fps burst shooting. Could it be anything else? Maybe an artifact inside VR module of my lens? Comments will be appreciated!

Next time I show you some more interesting photo that shows a fast moving round object in the sky which is clearly visible in equalized image but not a dust spot since it moves in three continuous shots. That one really looked like an ufo to me

Window reflection and smoke are both logical explanations to me but I I'm still not fully convinced because with several years of shooting from that location window reflections rarely look like that. Instead they tend to be vertical lines reflecting the windows behind photographer. Yet I still can't find any photo of engine smoke like this. Anyway thank you guys for your responses.

Of course you didn't mention until now that it was taken inside, that seems the most logical explanation, a reflection.

    Hmm... looks strange indeed.
What about small forest fire? Maybe it's just a smoke?
Not sure if engine smoke would be visible so far from the engine. It's not the heat haze for sure...

I was thinking it could have been window reflection since I took the photo at observation deck inside RCSS. However your theory seems to make more sense based on the position and shape of the artifact - maybe the engine exhaust happened to get "smokey" at that moment

Likely I am thinking an artifact of the engines exhaust. I looked through the database to find some other evidence that the ATR exhaust can be spotted easily enough.

This ATR of Danish Air Transport at Innsbruck,Austria shows the blurring of the background landscape easily at the tail of the plane.

Same airport and airline in your picture, it is very easy to see the exhaust blurring the planes parked in the background.

The exhaust may be transparent enough that the mountain in the background obscures most of it, but part of the exhaust stream has enough other particles in it that it becomes non-transparent against the green of the mountain.

    Or its aliens.

The airport is RCSS. Found several photos with the same mountain peak(the one with two buildings on top) in their background but none of them show the same smudge.

    Hi Alex,
Good point! However after searching db I couldn't find a photo with similar angle and landscape yet so I'm still not able to verify that.

Isn't that actually part of the background ?

Strange smudge behind an ATR's tail

    Hi guys,

I found a strange smudge behind this ATR's tail. Since there's no APU in ATRs, I wondered what could have possible caused that smudge. Was it some kind of smoke coming from the fuselage? Any idea?
