The .png photo after cropping. then finally the cropped and converted Jpeg which is what i tried uploading and was rejected for Undersharpend, JPG compression artifacts (makes sense because of conversion with Irfanview free edition) and the one i cannot figure out how i would fix (or is even possible to correct) is bad motive (for saying its the terminal of the airport??) Just trying to put my local airport KEUG on the FR24 map with a picture. This is my initial goal then maybe get more into aircraft after that. I can give it a try with a photo of the actual terminal building at some point if there is no motive that covers the entry road signage. If this isnt the place for feedback on photos, sorry on the front end. Not looking for a prescreen (unless the un-cropped photo checks out lol) I am very new to this (if that wasn't obvious). Thanks again for the feedback and hopefully I'll get a win. Oh one last thing... I have a Canon PowerShot SX170 point and shoot I could dink around with. Just have to find it...
    Besides potential quality issues, your image doesn't even show the airport, so wouldn't be accepted in any case. If you have images that actually show the airport and would like help with those, please start a thread for feedback/editing advice here:

    Every once in a while, smartphone photos are accepted. But all in all, far more photos taken with smartphones are rejected, than accepted. Reason is, that to take photos with a smartphone you need perfect photo conditions. Mostly smartphone photos show JPG compression artefacts and noise.

    The time we live is changing very quickly and technology offers us incredible opportunities.

    Although I am not a big fan, I have to take photos with a mobile phone. In this case, it gets more and more important in how it can be edited, rather than what it takes.

    In addition, there are a lot of conveniences it brings. Instead of removing and installing lenses, you can simply shoot wide-angle etc. etc.

    Here is some examples;

    Personally, I have found phones hit or miss. In saying that however, I've only ever used an iPhone 6 and iPhone 7 (which is similar in camera quality to what you are using) and most of the time done right it works out okay. Would still highly recommend when you can investing in a second hand DSLR, makes this hobby and uploading here much more streamlined.

    Two biggest bits of advice really as the others said is to:

    1) Be uplcose with the aircraft, and
    2) Refrain from using any zoom functions where possible

    Regardless here are a few examples of when I have used my phone. One taken on the iPhone 7 and the other taken on the iPhone 6 so you can get somewhat of a gauge of how to go about using them visually:

    Example 1 (iPhone 6): https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9130011
    Example 2 (iPhone 7): https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9414969

    Kind Regards,
    JW

    Wing views also would work. I’ve gotten a wing view from my phone in, kinda nice actually because it required almost no editing, just horizon correction. Phones are pretty darn good these days, as mentioned above zoom capabilities are really where they fall apart for what we do...

    If you're close enough to the aircraft, it shouldn't be too bad. If it's at a distance, even with a zoom lens for a phone, then no. For example, these are my iPhone 6 shots that got accepted here: https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9636880, https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/9283204.
