  • Bad info rejection

    https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=8084938
It has been rejected as Bad info,
    Bad Info: Location,Genre
What should I use in Location? how should I appeal it?

  • #2
Put in ICAO airport code, where the picture has been taken (assuming it has been taken at an airport).
In general, item 1.2.2 in upload guidelines covers location information rules.

It wasn't taken at the airport, indeed it was far off airport.

How do I update the info, should I just mention correct info, in this case, Location as "Other location" in appeal. What is wrong with Genre?

        1.2.2 Airport Codes
If the location is not an airport, you may use the Other Location option

We understand. It just took off and wasn’t far from the ground. So you still need to put the airport’s ICAO code instead of inflight.

In my opinion, you have to resubmit the photo into the queue. Because it would still be rejected by senior screeners if you appeal the photo. This mistake was made by your self, not screeners. Just a reminder, put ICAO code instead of inflight when you resubmit the photo.

It was at 4070Ft, at least 5km from the airport, still, I should use the local airport?

Resubmission will lower my acceptance ratio?

Obviously, in-flight doesn't apply in this case.
                  1.2.6 Uploading Wing Views

Photos taken airborne need the country and 'Inflight' as location, unless an airport is visible.

Right here, I think you selected Military, not Civilian.

BTW, there is really no need to ask here what the correct info is and to appeal the rejection at the same time.

It could have selected Civilian as default when I have entered aircraft registration.

                              I appealed"after"asking here.
