"Photo not showing on Flightradar24" - Advice

Good Morning.

As we get many requests lately, asking why a photo is not shown on Flightradar24, even while it's the most recent by date:

Please be patient! The photo will not show up at Flightradar24 directly after it got accepted to our database - the servers need some time for caching and for refreshing the photos. This can take up to 48hrs in some cases!

Photos which don't show the whole livery of an aircraft - this includes: Close-ups, captures from an acute angle where the wings or other parts of the aircraft block the livery, face 2 face photos, silhouettes or close crops where the tail is not fully visible will be excluded by us (if not done by the photographers).

Photos you have selected to be not shown on Flightradar24 by clicking "Exclude from Flightradar24" in the "Add photos" formwill also not be published there.

Keep in mind exceptions to this guideline are made, for instance for the only photo we have of an aircraft or livery.


Please, before making posts asking why a photos is not visible on Flightradar24 - make sure that the photo is qualified to be shown by having a look at the points above.

FR24 generally prefer side on shots to show as much of the aircraft as possible. Your pic is very much a head on and is therefore unlikely to used by FR24.

Hello Friends. I have a photo of the main passenger terminal of SBSR, which shows the main ramp of the airport. To this day it is not shown on Flightradar24. The current image that is displayed on the FR24 is a photo of one of the airport's hangars. Can you help me?

Further to kidgoncalez post, I recently had a photo of the inside of an airport terminal accepted on Jetphotos, but it didn't show up on FR24, even though there are no photos of that airport (CYZP) on their site and this is the only photo of that airport on Jetphotos. I presume because they only accept outside photos of airports? If so, are there any guidelines to take into account, so I can make sure I get the right shot of the terminal? thx!

Hi all,

I'm, as others, wondering why certain aircraft are not coming up on FR24 BUT I AM finding them in JP when I research via Google Images.

Example: 07 July 2022 FR24 - This afternoon this aircraft was flying near Richmond, Virginia down to NAS Patuxent River, Maryland.

The photo is NOT linked from JP to FR but it is researchable through Google Images:

which showed JP images links. So I clicked on the image which took me to JP. Seems an odd way for me to find the images.

According to the Data, the newest photo is from 29/8 bei C.v.Grinsven whereas your pic was taken two days earlier. The newest photo is always displayed on FR24
