I’m not clear on what “hot” means

Hi dlowwa, regarding this subject. There's an specific size of sticker that qualify as hot? Because some friends of mine was discussing this today and I see that some of the get acceptance with very small size new stickers, some got rejections... you could be created a rule for this.

Impossible to make a rule for this, since we are not going to measure the size of every sticker. If you (or your friends) decide to upload something as hot that has only a minimal difference (tiny sticker, etc..), you will take the risk of it being rejected. If that bothers you, best to keep hot uploads to images that have a significant change.

Updates to the livery do qualify as hot. If the registration is already in the DB you will need to tag it as hot manually by putting a comment in the 'reason for hot' box on the upload page. The benefit of uploading it as hot is that it will allow you to skip the queue.

Hi there. As a newcomer to Jetphotos I’ve read through the submission guidelines that delineate reasons for photo rejections, including how long a registration will be considered “hot.” Can you add to my understanding about this?

I have a capture of a registration that has a different paint job than the one database entry for the registration. Do I need to notate the new look when I upload my submission? Is that registration then considered “hot” and therefore off limits for a time period? Is that designed for the purposes of preventing a flood of submissions of the same aircraft? Is it desirable to be first?
