  • Question of photo importing process

Recently I tried to use RAW file to edit and upload to JP. But I got several times of rejection jpg compression.
But when I use jpg photo to edit, normally I don't have this issue.
    For example this one :https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=10701161
Is there any advice for me with the importing picture process for JP, Thanks !

    Kind regards from Sydney

I'd suggest using lens and CA corrections if you aren't already applying them.

Are you choosing the best quality of raw on your camera? I guess a compressed raw may be no better than a high-quality jpg.
Also, when saving after edits, remember to choose the best quality of jpg.
Really strange anyway cuz I've never had similar issues.

About quality of raw on your camera ( I use RAW quality which is the best quality of my camera Canon EOS R ) , so I don't think the issue is about the camera setting.
As you could see from the attached file, the resolution is 9999 (should be maximum in Lightroom). So it is very confused that I got compression issue with these photos.

Would you have a try with PS? My friends use LR to edit and PS to resize. I guess this could make you avoid the compression issues.
Also, recommending PS2021 or higher, with the function CameraRAW filter you could edit the same way as LR, which is much more convenient.
            Hope this would help.

Hard to say for sure due to the nature of the shot. To me, it looks like it might just be a lack of detail in the raw file that shows up as a blocky sky after the exposure was pushed, making it look compressed, even if it's technically not compressed.

First thing I'd do, look into the export resolution and change to 300 pixels per inch. That's the only thing I can see that doesn't look right, I can't say for sure if it would cause any issues or not, but it's worth a try to compare.

That said, I see some glare and reflections in the shot, so there's no rescuing it for the database.
