  • Circular halos appearing in pictures

    Hi. I use a Canon 6D mk ii with Sigma 150-600C. I'm getting these whitish halos in my shots which I wasn't getting before when I first started using this lens.
    in the shot I've attached below, the halo is reduced slightly by a graduated filter but not fully covered as seen below. Any tips on what I may be doing wrong?
    Exif for the shot: 1/640 ISO 160 f10 ​​​​​

      It's vignetting. This is the effect when using longer focal lengths on FF bodies. In effect the shape of the lens is becoming visible in your images and the light that is being refacted through the elements is showing in your images. You can fix this in Photoshop or Lightroom by using lens correction. You cannot avoid it when using FF unless you are up high on aperture (such as F16 where the effect will be reduced but not removed).
