I have both a Windows PC and a new iMac, I love the iMac!
I know that the new Macs with OS X have built in drivers for most all cameras, and other things like printers etc.
Also the software that comes with the camera is Mac compatible.
On my iMac I plug my Fuji S7000 directly to iPhoto!

Me too! What version of Iphoto do you have?

I have iPhoto 2 with OS X 10.2.8.

I think it is easier to load to iPhoto then to use camera software unless you are converting RAW images. iPhoto does not convert RAW.
