  • One Hundred!!!!

Yes! I did it!! 100 photos up!

    [photoid=282216]

Note: I realize that's actually the 99th pic. But I like it so much (motion blur). I intended it to be the 100th, but unfortunately the photo before it got rejected.

      You are more than welcome!

Actually, it just arrived from LHR.

Did you look at the real 100th pic? You may be pleasantly surprised.

Congratulations Will! Welcome to the 100 club!
Is YOW very accesible for spotting? I'd definitely consider a trip up there sometime...

Thanks George, Thanks Pete, No Problem Pete. lol

To answer both of your questions:

YOW is fairly accessible for spotting. I have never been bothered by airport authority or police. There are NO double fences ( ). We do get our fair share of cloudless days. I have time throughout most of the summer (we might go to the Maritimes for a week).

However, the 2 downsides of YOW that I can think of:
            1. The summers can be quite hot (35C or maybe even hotter). This can be uncomfortable, and it can also cause heat distortion. I would advise coming in the late summer/early fall.

            2. There is not a lot of traffic. Rarely are there line-ups, and sometimes you have to wait up to 30 minutes to see a plane.

If you guys still want to come, I'll gladly meet you guys at the airport (our new terminal is a plus, too). But since I'm not 17 yet, I can't drive.

Oh, but I've been to China. It gets quite hot there, too.

35 sounds kind of chilly to me. LOL
                  Oh, metrics. :P
Early fall might actually work out, I'm looking to go somewhere around that time to spot...my employer (CN) gets deals with Air Canada...and I think they go direct to YOW from KMKE.
                  Hmmm....

                    You work for CN?
That would explain your other hobby.

hmmm..... YOW sounds kinda like BDL. Gets hot in the summer, you have to wait about 30 min to see a plane sometimes (unless you go at peak times) and there are rarely lineups and we also just got a new terminal. Sounds like BDL jr
