  • Should I Appeal this Rejection?

I recently attempted to upload a hotphotos of N4747D (P-47D Razorback) and it was rejected for vignetting. I checked profile corrections and I'm unsure what they're seeing. I heard that the use the dust spot checker to find vignetting? Should I appeal?

funny how screeners reject pictures by simply spotting errors in the equalized version instead of pointing them on the normal pic. It's so robotic... and this has always happened. It's not like it's something recent.
Your vignetting issue is only visible in the equalized version. So, your pic should be accepted IMO. Appeal it!

Think with me: if an issue is only visible when equalizing, then why rejecting the picture? The version displayed in the database won't be the equalized version anyway.

I can see the vignetting in the low-quality screenshot of the rejection, so don't really need to equalize to see it..

Appeals will be re-screened by senior screeners (such as myself) and new issues may be found, just so you are aware if you decide to go that route.

The registration on that plane is printed as NX4747D, so it's in fact not hot. https://www.jetphotos.com/registration/NX4747D

Oh oops. I was basing my info on the FAA Registry information. Thank you for pointing that out!

No prob. Yeah the FAA doesn't distinguish N/NX/NR/NL, but it seems that a lot of new restorations now have the reg painted as NX.
