Immediately effective: Elite Queue

Hello,
In order to keep more control on the queue and for more equality, we believe it's time to have everyone at 20 slots.

It's been 7 years now that Elite memberships aren't available anymore and it isn't very fair to still keep those slots benefits.

We appreciate everyone’s continued support for JetPhotos and count on your understanding. Our goal is still to end up with a slot per ratio system.

That being said, we made several calculation and it’s not the Ex-Elite who puts much pressure on the queue. Those extra slots are only 2 to 3%

Are you kidding ? I had 40 slots, never been an Elite member, nearly 5000 pics in the DB with a 92% ratio and now I am „paying the bill“ for all the %}£}$|\ uploading crap here and FR24 unwillingness to anything about it ? Sorry, but it is getting a way now others already went….

And just to add…..if this reduces the queue to 7 days, I am completely fine with it but how should a limitation of high slot longtime contributors help in dealing with abuse and crap Pictures ?

We are a world away from those setting up multiple accounts which seems to take up so much of your time.
This measure is a really retrograde step. I hope you do not come to regret it.

Of course 100 is too much but 20 slots??? Thats nonsense! When I see an acceptance ratio of less than 40 percent for the last 7 days why don´t you start to try to stop user by uploading crappy photos? There are enough easy solutions to do this but somehow JP/FR24 is not interested in.

The best and most easy way to reduce queue would be bringing block time for slots after a reject up to 4 weeks or longer...

Hi Brian,

It happened without notice because from experience it's very hard for us to predict when Flightradar24 has the time/priority for us (it's been on a wish list for quite some time). Another factor is that had we announced it, we probably would've seen a peak in uploads as a result.

We also wish we could've given our most loyal photographers like you something in return immediately, such as a slot by ratio system which would work in your benefit. Hopefully we can introduce such a feature in the near future.

Last but not least, a shorter queue will be in everyone's benefit. I hope this explanation gives you a bit of background into our motivation for this move.

But I'm really hoping this epic change is soon leading to a ratio system. Please don't wait other 7 years.

And, IF i can give a non requested suggestion: why don't leave free slots for hot photos?

well... I do not get the reason why you need 100 slots, especially when most of the people only have 20 slots? Do you have 100 precious aircrafts to upload once every 17 days? (no offense, im just curious)

As another long term uploader (21 years in my case), I understand the reasoning behind this change, but like others, the suddenness of this I struggle with. I wonder how many of the former elites have actually "loaded the queue" as based on Alex's comments previously, it would not seem so. It seems that FR24 feels that JP is really the bastard step-child as proven by their lack of attention to bugs, requests, etc. It's almost like it's worth reopening Elite to get internal funding so you can pay someone to make the changes, because FR24 is going to take ages to do it. How long has the request for acceptance ratio slot allocation been open? How long have the bugs on the forum been reported to them? The lack of attention by FR24 is going to cause more and more displeasure with JP by it's users. Hopefully, this will change soon. I don't know if there is someone or a couple of people at JP dedicated to looking for duplicate accounts, etc. because as many seem to get created and used, it might be worthwhile dedicating a resource to this. I'm just trying to find solutions for an ever increasing discontent to the people that provide JP and therefore FR24 their information.
