  • New active registration and/or CN

Maybe it's a rather unique problem, but e.g. in my case I'm not getting new registration badges for brand new aircraft, because they are temporarly using test or ferry flight registrations, which are constantly being swapped between new aircraft.

So it might be a nice idea to make the new registration badges, new registration/CN badges, especially because one aircraft can only have one CN, but countless registrations.

I don’t get why people are so interested in those badges. What is the point? Not especially you, but all these threads asking for the manual addition of them. Why? Is there any advantage or something I am missing here?

I love taking pictures of aircraft no one else has photographed before.
Much more interesting for me than photographing the same tubeliners which are already countless times in the database.
Presently my first reg photos are more than 60% of all photos I uploaded so far, and I hope that I can at least keep this ratio.

The question was : are people here interested in taking and sharing pictures or in accumulating badges and tons of Junior-Woodchucks Chocolate Medals ?...

The answer is, I can only speak for myself.

The question was not - why you like to take pictures of yet non-photographed airframes - but more like why are you so interested in the tiny little badge picture which needs to be manually added by an admin for your pleasure.

I completely understand the charm of being the first one to take a picture of a new or yet unphotographed aircraft - I myself do have 2326 of these first-pics online here. By why the need for these badges?

This has nothing to do with 'pleasure'. Without the badge I don't know if it's the one and only picture of this aircraft, regardless if it's mine or the pic from someone else.
If you click on the badge in the profile, you see all the associated aircraft, which is a nice feature IMO.

Ah you can click them! Well that makes sense now. Never knew this was a thing!

That made me smile, coming from a seasoned user! The Site still offers new discoveries, even after 21 years

To Bernt: The discussion will not get you anywhere I'm afraid. It cannot be automated (limited by the script) and adding badges just for reg/CN combos does not add any benefit. Other "factory spotters" have made the same experience.
