How does screening work?

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to share it but a while back I asked the same thing and Alex I believe shared a photo of what the screening process looks like.

Good to see the screening function hasn't changed since I was a screener.

SC are a screeners personal choice. It just needs to bee confirmed by another screener or a senior

PW is a choice of Simon and me after a selection of candidates by Stefan

Subjective decision by crew. Rarely if ever used in my experience.

Much more interesting would be the technical screening tools themselves...

The tools are exactly the same compared to the upload and queue tools uploaders can use. There are 0 differences

The system shows info such as some basic camera settings, photo date and image size.

Could you please explain the "Artistic" checkbox a bit? It's not on the upload page, but there is such a category in the search engine, which finds fairly recent photos.

Adding to what Dana posted, we also get a small warning message in the serial box if the serial doesn't match the census (census info is the first line in the grey zone), and also if the image has an invalid aspect ratio
