Uploading issue

Hi all, I'm new here

I'm trying to upload my best photos from a recent air show, and when i do, it says the resolution is over 1280. Okay. I fix that, and then it says its below 250kb. Okay, i fix that, and it says the resolution is too high again. Any way around this?

Sounds like you're doing resizing wrong. What tools are you using?

Maximum resolution for a new user is 1280px wide, and the minimum file size is 250 KB. If the photo doesn't meet both criteria, it likely has not been properly post-processed for the site and it will get rejected.

And in reality, at 1280px, a photo that isn't at least 400 KB will most certainly have compression issues or the plane is too small in the frame and the photo is mostly sky.
