D30 settings?

I only had the D30 for about a week or so. What I want to know is what settings you D30 (or D60/10D) users here use that you find sucess with.

I am specifically talking about shooting aircraft on approach or takeoff. Do you use auto WB or the other modes? Do you use one shot, AI focus or AI servo? Do you use evaluative metering, partial metering or center-weighted metering? What other tips do you have with this camera? Thanks for helping out a newbie.

I use One Shot, Auto WB (during a sunny day), AI Focus, and usually evaluative if it's a regular day, center-weighted if I'm in a high contrast situation.
