Sigma 1.4x/2.0x teleconverter with EF 90-300 USM

Hi all,
I'm just curious as to whether a Sigma 1.4x or 2.0x teleconverter would work attached to a Canon 90-300mm USM? Better still is it worth it? will it make much difference and will the quality drop at all?

Sigma convertors only work with Sigma lenses.
