  • Canon 75-300 F/4.0-5.6 III USM lens

Hey, is this lens the best low cost lens to get for my 300D? I found it at amazon for $170. Heres the link:

Been using mine for jsut over a week now, It's a very good lens for the price, it can get a bit soft between 200-300mm, but if the lens is stopped down to f8-11 you can pull off some pretty decent shots even at 300mm.

    I highly recommend it.

Same here AC870, I got mine last Sunday. Sometimes it goes a little soft after 250mm, but I got one or two contrails shots that came out pretty good at full 300mm

I'd recommend it too Fantastic lens.

Looks like I'm late with this, but the lens in question is my primary lens for aircraft photography. Like the others have mentioned it can get a little soft at full zoom, but overall gives nice results.
