  • My First 1600!!

    Warning: Shameless photo plug follows.
Inspired by Glenn Alderton's fabulous warbird shots, here is my first upload at 1600 pixels. Quite happy with how it turned out...the plus is that on the weekends EAA runs their own airport on a grass strip behind the museum...and they give rides in this thing along with a few other planes. So it is easy to practice and you can get real close to the action. I look forward to the Ford tri-motor to return from some local airshows, that flies from this strip too.

I played around with a number of shots before I even asked for 1600, definitely a different kind of format, leaves much less room for error on the original photo.
Not sure with a p n s how much luck you would have, sorta depends on the subject I suppose. Much harder to "hit" a moving target.
      Glad you like the shot.

I have a few that would be acceptable at 1200 or possibly 1400.

That one is well worthy of 1600 pixels George! Tack sharp...whats the exif?
1600 pixels really means the original better be tack sharp...otherwise forget it

              Thanks Alain, Clovis.
              Data on that shot is:
              1/500th sec
              F 5.6
              125mm
              ISO 100

Pretty basic setup for me and the 300D.
              KORD again tomorrow. Muhahahahahahahahahahah.

              Couple more 1600's of late:
