    AAAAHHHH!!! Geez! These things don't come cheap, do they?!

    Remember.... just because you saw nice pics from the D70, 300D, 10D, D30, ect doesn't mean that if you get either one you will be able to produce awesome images in a snap. It all depends on the person behind the viewfinder. All these DSLR's are good.... but the photographer needs to be good too. Also before you spend all this money on a DSLR make sure you are really into photography and that your not gonna get bored with it in a few months.
    Correct A320 and one other thing, post processing skills also play a big part in getting the right result!

    Is it's autofocus fast? Would you guys say it's right up next to the 300d, or is the 300d better?

    OK Andrew- what's the D70?

    Incredibly cheap dSLR for what you get, the only draw backs are the occassional focus issues and the fact its only available second hand. It's a really good camera for somebody on a tight budget (like me) and produces some really sharp images. I'm not one to give you a detailed analysis of the D30's capability so i'll leave that to someone else, Clovis?

    3mp DSLR
    No longer made (can only get them used)
    More features than the 300D is supposed to have....
    The only reason Clovis loves his D30 is because of the 9-frame buffer :P

    If you are on a budget, get the 300D. It's the cheapest of the big name DSLR's. In a few years they all be obsolete so you are picking a lens system. I chose the 300D because it fit my budget and I did not need the features of the 10D. Also I can move up from it in a few years. There are no quality drawbacks to the 300D. Any munchkin can get a 10D and L glass and still shoot shit. You got to develop your skill and then it doesn't matter what's up to your eye. I have some of my samples below.

    [photoid=284775]

    [photoid=289918]

    [photoid=307908]

    [photoid=312042]

    And remember, regardless of what DSLR you get, it sill kicks the crap out of a P&S camera.
