  • Spotting places @ SAN

Hi all- going to be off to San Diego, CA tomorrow, and am going to try and make a photo run. Anybody have suggestions on spots for snapping some pictures? Street names would be great, as I am familiar with the area.

    Thanks!

    OK....

Well, I found a parking garage!...and got screamed & yelled at by this witch...but managed to get some nice low approach shots. Hard to find a way to get around those jetblast deflectors when you're @ ground level...

I think I posted a similar topic a few months back, before I found out I wasn't going... Did you get any db-worthy shots?

I'm transfering the files from my laptop to pc now for post-processing, but I'm hoping so. There's always something wrong, right?

I'm living here in SAN for 6 months and I've tried a bunch of stuff, from next to the airport, to harbor island, to balboa park and just walking around the city... the only good shots I've gotten are from the little parking area, next to the anchor by the end of the runway...

There's a pedestrian bridge that goes over I5 that might be good when it's not so hot out with all the heat haze...

and Balboa Park seems like a good spot if you can actually take a picture right...

It's been hot lately and I think when it gets cooler there will be more places to shoot without the stupid heat haze.
