Thats a review. Should be a good lens and the F/2.8 is good if you need it for lower-light stuff. Never tried it though.

I guess it is not a popular lens around here I can understand because of the lack of zoom and the fairly short reach (aviation photography wise). Ideally, I would like to get a 70-200 f2.8L but it costs twice as much The 70-200 f4L is in the same price range but has a smaller max aperture. Hmmmm....

I have a 70-200 F/4L... good lens. Highly reccomend

I own this lens and while it lacks a lot of reach it delivers tack sharp, cyrstal clear images on both film and digital and much sharper than images from the much more expensive and over rated 70-200 2.8L. I highly recommend for almost any type of close in photography.

The 1.8 seems to be a nice lens but it costs over $3,000US in mint condition Think of how many nice L lenses you can get with that kind of dough.
