  • D70 lens.

    I guys iīm looking for a new lens for my D70 but donīt know where to start.
    I only have $400 to spend.
    What you guys suggest?

          No problem. You can get a Sigma 170-500 for under $600 new on ebay. Also if you are willing to look at used Nikon lenses on ebay, you might be able to get a Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8D ED lens for about $600 (though you lose the reach you would have with a 300mm). I think the 70-300mm AF D ED lens is probably your best bet.

            What do you think of the Sigma 28-300 f/3.5-6.3?
            I "need" t shoot close and long range. Some like the above would be better.
            I have seen the options and there very good Now to decide.

              Dunno, maybe someone who has experience with this lens can help you. However, if you can afford the Nikon ED lens, get it.

                I have a D70. I just use a Nikon 70-300mm F4-5.6 G lens for mine and that's about as much as I'd need for it. The clerk at the camera shop told me that the G lens works fine with my camera and that the ED lens won't really add any benefits to picture quality. I bought it in Hong Kong for about $140. Not very expensive, but if you can save the cash and keep the same picture quality then why not?
