I'm quite new to photography, especially aviation photography and have a Fuji Finpix S7000 camera. It has a 6x optical lens but it isn't quite powerfull enough to get my close enough to smaller aircraft. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of the 1.5x teleconverter lens which will give me a 9x zoom? Any experience of teleconverters in general would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Darren

My dad has that camera with a 2x lense on. The pictures without the lense and with the lense are very different. The pictures without the lense are sharper and have a lot more detail in it. In my opinion its not worth getting the lense, but its your choice.
Dan
Thanks for your opinion Dan, it is much appreciated. Fuji only do a 1.5x converter, do you know if this is the one your dad has? I've heard that using converters more than 1.5x can cause distortion of the images so its best to stay with a converter of no more than 1.5x.
Thanks again,
Darren
