  • Looking to upgrade my camera, need advice

Which do you all think will give the best results for aircraft photography? My budget is $500, I'd like 10x or 12x optical and 4 megapixels.
I am looking at both the Dimage z3 or a Lumix fz15.

    thanks for any advice!

Or if you do that you would get a much better camera. But i you need one now the Olympuses are the best P&S cameras.

I read a review in Mac World that says the C-765 (which is cheaper than the C-770) produces better quality images even though the sensor and optics of both cameras are the same. Another camera to consider is the older C-750 for about $300.
If you don't mind spending a bit more, go for a D-SLR! Used D30 go for about $600 now on ebay.

            thanks for the input everyone,

I don't want to go DSLR just yet until I learn more about photography and technique. an expensive piece of glass and DSLR body in the hands of an idiot still gives crap photos just joking...

I will do some more reading and will post which i get!

feel free to jump in with anymore cameras to consider thou...

Have you looked into any of the Sony cameras? I've used the F717 and it's a very nice camera. I'm looking to sell it if your interested, comes with the 1.7x teleconverter and a few other accessories. Drop me a PM and i'll give you more info about it.

Don't look at HP. The zoom and megapixels may look appealing but they really are crap.
