300D Failures ...Anyone?

I had an error 99 problem with the default 18-55 lens. It was replaced by Canon and (until now) works just fine.

Just an update:

I have just received my 300D back from the repair shop back in working condition. The repair tickets says they repaired the mirror box and cleaned it. It was only out of my possession for 12 days. Much shorter than the 3 to 5 weeks that was quoted to me. For such service Canon gets a five star rating from me.
