I just got back my first 4 rolls of post-Fairlawn Kodachrome. The
film was mailed to the Kodak address in MD on the Tuesday after Labor
Day and I got them back yesterday. The slides look the same, arriving
in the same yellow boxes. There were no annoying scratches on any of
the rolls.
So, although NYC lost the wonderful overnight Kodachrome turnarounds,
at least you can still get K64 developed properely.
