Nikon 24-120 VR

Hi guys, is this lenses good for aviation photography?
I´m looking for one of those. What do you think?

If you either have ramp access or can get close to the action it probably is. 120mm isn't terribly long for aviation.

Well for aviation photography it is not the best pick. Perhaps good if you have ramp access, otherwise 120mm will be a bit short for most spots.

I have not tried one personally yet.

If you just want a standard lense I can strongly recommend the good old AF 35-70 2.8D. It is still excellent.

The Nikon 24-120VR is a nice lens, although not suited towards aviation photography, unless you are close. It's very sharp, and a great deal for the price. The 24-85mm is also highly regarded.
